Noelle

Last week, Noelle and I played through the first Dragon Blazers game together.

We had each played it multiple times before. I believe Noelle had done so dozens of times.

However, these games are brimming with secret content.

Thus, there is strong value in playing them over and over,

in order to find secrets.

This time, events transpired differently than usual.

Both of us were aware Dragon Blazers is a branching game, however Noelle did not recognize the path we were on.

We had stumbled into a variation of the 'Ice Palace' at the end of the game,

one that had melted completely.

I was caught off guard. Frightened. I had no knowledge of this event.

Noelle, however, was ecstatic.

She treated this as an immense discovery. She saved the game at the nearest Geyser,

and ejected the cartridge out from the old console.

However, when she attempted to load the save file onto her computer...

there was nothing left.

We immediately began researching this phenomenon.

Eventually, we found an article from a magazine in 199X that claimed

the developers had scrapped an alternative route in which the Ice Palace was melted by the Prince's immense FireShock.

Noelle was unsure how our game reactivated that scrapped event, however the two of us eventually found it to be lighthearted.

Despite the fact we rarely converse, we have brought it up in jest at least a dozen times since then.

Return home.
